Complete Randomness

Today has been the only day I have even had a chance to really catch up on things I enjoy doing. School and work have basically consumed my life. I kinda like it though. Weird.

Amazement~

My boys are amazed at the drive-thru carwash. Yeah, I know. Maybe we don't get out much.

apples

I like to cook/bake. Here's a yummylicious recipe if you like apples!



2 cups of apples 1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 to 1 cup sugar

Mix together and put in a dish.



3/4 cup brown sugar 1 cup flour
1 stick of butter

Mix together and spread on top of the apples/cinnamon/sugar.







Bake at 350 until the top is brown.



Easy-peasy!

Thursday night was a total blast; a definite well needed break. The girls I work with and I (minus Amy) all went out for dinner. We had the best time. I love you girls!!





I can't wait to re-take this picture in 20 years!! We missed you, Amy.




We had the most laughs!!! I truly laughed so hard that I almost peed my pants. I am not kidding! It was all because of this one little picture........

I don't think I've ever voted for anyone in American Idol. I usually have my favorites though. This season...I've tried to watch and keep up. Do you know how difficult it is to watch anything with a 2 and 1 year old? I did catch a peak of tonight's performances. I'm crazy over any guy that can play guitar and piano. Kris Allen is the obvious choice....hello??

the big reveal??

The other fourth grade teachers and I took our kiddies on a little field trip today! We walked to the movie theater in town to see....wait for it....HANNAH MONTANA!! I think I was way more excited over it than my class. I really get into the whole Hannah Montana/High School Musical scene. I'm being serious. The big question my class and I were dying to know was...Does Hannah actually reveal the true Miley Stewart to everyone??? I know the answer!! It may not win an Oscar, but it was definitely an excellent movie for 10 year olds and 26 year olds! Love it!

It's definitely been a "non-three ring circus" kinda day! This Mother's Day could not have been any better. I am blessed beyond measure. I came across an email the other day. It was one of those emails that you get 348 of a day that says "send this to x amount of people or you'll have bad luck" or something... I never actually read them, but this one caught my eye. (Sorry, if you are one of the people that send those...) Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.! I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom .
