One More Christmas...

Saturday evening could have possibly been one of the busiest days we have had in a while.

Wake up.
Start cleaning house.
Begin cooking "snacky-finger foods".
Continue cleaning house.
Continue cooking "snacky-finger foods".
Laundry.
Lay out boys' clothes for party.
12:00- Birthday Party for boys' friend...cake and ice cream at his house.
2:00- Leave party at the house and travel to the movies to see Alvin and the Chipmunks for the party.
4:00- Get home.
5:00- Christmas at my house with my momma. :)

I am definitely not complaining, because I wouldn't have it ANY other way!

My sisters, brother, their families, my mother and her husband all came over to exchange gifts, eat, talk, and catch up.  It was great having all of us in the same place at the same time.

As I was uploading the pictures, Silas randomly asks, "Where's the honeybun cake? These pictures are making me hungry."

Apparently, he really liked my sister's honeybun cake. Thanks for making the honeybun cake, Ko!  :)

So thankful for this night....and this family. :)

Still Goin'....

We are still going strong... Seriously, we have not slowed down since we got out of school for Christmas break.  I am normally such a home-body and love just being at home.  BUT... I am definitely loving being on the constant go!  I know it will probably catch up with me at some point, but for now...bring it on.

I will say this.  The boys are exhausted.  And honestly, they are getting on my nerves.  BUT...I love them anyway! :)

Jason and I have taken the boys to Opryland Hotel for the past several years around Christmas.  This is the first year we haven't stayed the night.  I was totally fine with that though.  :)

....Remembering back to the first time we went, Silas was a little guy.  Keep in mind- Jason and I do not swear.  Seriously, like we very seldom say ugly words!  If we do, we would not ever say them in front of the boys.  Anyway, I put the boys in their double stroller, and we were about to head out of the hotel room.  As soon as Jason opened the hotel room door, the housekeeping cart was parked right smack dab in front of the door.  Silas oh-so seriously said, "What the hell...?"  Hilarious!  Not really at the time, but now...definitely hilarious!....  Memories....

Confession: Silas Howard is obsessed with the Dukes of Hazzard.

There it is.

He has the first three seasons on DVD (thanks to my momma), and watches them faithfully. Anything "Dukes"- he's all about it.

This is hilarious---we were at a consignment sale one day and Jason found an old faded out Dukes of Hazzard men's t-shirt, size XXL... and guess what... We bought the thing! :) I can assure you, it will NEVER be worn in public. ;)

Across from the hotel was a little "museum-lol" called Cooter's Place??

All I know is Cooter's wrecker and the General Lee were parked outside. You would have thought my boys caught a little glimpse of sweet heaven above.

Needless to say, we stopped for pictures, went in, and bought 2 little mason jars that have 01 on them. Lord, help us.

Made a trip to the Wildhorse for some food and music....

It was time to head home.

There's no place like home.
